On April 7, the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department, Public Affairs Division announced they had become aware of a possible computer hack that impacted a limited number of the computer systems. Upon discovery, the County's Information Technology department immediately secured the network and began working with a forensic specialist to identify the breach. However, the amount of time the computer systems were not functioning, and the specific computer system information affected, were not immediately available. The FBI and DHS are working closely with the sheriff's department to investigate the incident, and further details will be released when known. The Sheriff's Department emphasized that law enforcement operations had not been impacted. Source of information: https://bigbeargrizzly.net/news/8384/sheriffs-department-hacked/
