Big Bear City, CA - The Big Bear Airport Pilots Association (BBAPA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting social activities for pilots and aviation enthusiasts of the Big Bear Airport. The organization also aims to establish and maintain a liaison between pilots and the Big Bear City Airport Board of Directors and the Airport Staff. Additionally, they strive to preserve the safe and efficient operation of the general aviation airport system to the benefit of pilots and the community while advancing public understanding and interest in the beneficial use and utilization of aviation through educational and charitable means.

The BBAPA hosts a monthly safety meeting on the second Tuesday of each month and a Young Eagles rally on the second Saturday of each month during the warm season. The Young Eagles program, sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), is a community outreach initiative that provides free airplane rides to anyone in the community aged 8 to 17.
